There is really not much I love more than supporting women in business. Except for maybe supporting Canadian women running businesses that are in line with attachement parenting. I recently had the priviledge to try out three Momzelle nursing tops. Knowing they were my sister's favorite nursing tops hands down, I was so excited to get to know this amazing company better!!
The first thing I noticed about the tops was that there are no hard plastic snaps anywhere on the tops. It's all just gorgeous soft cotton that feels incredible. I opted for all long sleeve tops since living in temperate Victoria, British Columbia a long sleeve is pretty much always comfortable to be in. What I did not at all anticipate was how much use I would get out of these tops immediately, despite not yet breastfeeding. After my egg retrieval from the IVF my belly was swollen to about what a 5 to 6 month pregnant belly would be, and all I wanted to be in was my Momzelle tops because they are so soft and forgiving, but still really pretty and fashionable and didn't make me feel like I was just lounging in sloppy sweats. Being that they were so great for me during this time, I'm certain it's all I'll want to be in post-partum as well! What I appreciated most about the tops is that they are so pretty that literally no one knows you're wearing a nursing top so you can easily wear these long before and after you're nursing. I was not at all shocked when my sister told me she hasn't been nursing for almost 18 months and still wears her tops!!
One of the really great things about these tops is that they are cut long in the torso and in the sleeve which works great with leggings, just adding to the comfort factor! And of course also makes this the ideal maternity top for that reason too - and I am all about having my wardrobe pull double or triple duty if it can!
Honestly, this is all everything I would expect from such amazing women who addressed the need for comfortable nursing wear that is also functional and fashionable. The one thing that really surprised me with Momzelle is that their prices fall exactly in line with other nursing wear tops - even the ones with plastic snaps that dig in to you and are not flattering at all.
Verdict? LOVE. Honestly, cannot see myself having any other nursing tops when that time comes... and in the mean time, will love wearing them during IVF Cycles and pregnancy.
